Brief Description
This add-in creates a toolbar for working with grayscale printing options. Use this add-in to conveniently print slide shows and handouts in grayscale. Grayscale controls adjust grayscale printing properties for selected objects.

Toolbar Features

• Grayscale View button: This button toggles between grayscale and color view in Normal View in PowerPoint. To activate grayscale view, click the Grayscale View button, and then click the space surrounding the slide to switch to grayscale view. To restore color, click the Grayscale View button, and then click in the space surrounding the slide. Switching to grayscale view does not affect colors when running slide shows or when printing in color. Switching to grayscale view activates the Grayscale Settings button on the toolbar and also activates GrayScale Settings options in the pop-up menu you see when you right-click on a picture. Grayscale View affects the following PowerPoint views:
• Normal
• Slide
• Slide Sorter
• Notes Page
• Grayscale Settings button: This button is active only when the Grayscale View button is toggled to display Normal View in Grayscale. To use the settings, select one or more pictures, then click the Grayscale Settings button to choose a grayscale setting from the pop-up menu, or right-click on a selected picture and choose from the Grayscale settings in the pop-up menu. Grayscale settings affect the way a picture looks when displayed using the Grayscale View toggle, and when printing in grayscale. These settings have no effect when viewing or printing in color.

Wheninstalledasinstructed,thetoolbaropensyouopenPowerPoint. A non-displaying toolbar called “PrintMe” will appear in your list of PowerPoint toolbars on the View menu. This is toolbar is used by the add-in to print the slides and handouts, so don't delete it.

System Requirements

GrayScaleTool add-in has been tested and works with all editions of PowerPoint 2011 for Mac, including Home and Student edition.

The add-in will probably work in these versions of Microsoft PowerPoint: 4, 97, 98, 2000, XP, 2001, 2002, 2007 and 2010, but there's no guarantee that it will. Most likely, old versions of PowerPoint won't display all of the buttons, since not all of the handout options are available in old versions of PowerPoint. PowerPoint for Windows may not display the Grayscale View and Grayscale Settings buttons. If you did a custom install of Microsoft Office and did not include Visual Basic for Applications, you won't be able to use this add-in until you install Visual Basic for Applications.
